 BolognaFiere and Archi-Europe jointly organize a special contest "SAIE Selection 09" in order to select 24 projects and concepts (12 for young architects and 12 for students) presenting Low cost and Low energy sustainable housing.
These 24 projects and/or concepts will be presented in a special dedicated exhibition ‘Cuore Mostra Saie 2009’ in the framework of the SAIE International Building Exhibition taking place in Bologna (Italy) from October 28 to October 31, 2009.

O’Donnell & Tuomey Architects Win Student Center Competition in London
Irish architecture firm O'Donnell & Tuomey has won the RIBA-organized design contest for a new $ 35.6 milion student center at the London School of Economics.
The shortlist included well-known practices like David Chipperfield, 3XN, de Rijke Marsh Morgan, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, and Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.
Sheila O’Donnell and John Tuomey said: “We are delighted to win this opportunity to build a significant building in London, the city of our second schooling in architecture, at the center of the street-based campus of the London School of Economics. We hope to make a special building for the students’ union, one that derives from and contributes to the characteristics qualities of the LSE.”
